” Ce what pleases me is that I am doing more than two years ago. But I can’t be happy about having the RN at 32%. In a land like ours, where life is good and which is a welcoming land, I cannot understand such a score, when I do not even physically know my rival. It’s a phantom candidate that I will face in the second round.” declared David Habib at the end of this first round.

Jean Lassalle maintains his position

This emblematic figure of the Béarnese political landscape was running in the 4th constituency. Jean Lassalle came in third place with 18.05% of the vote, and announced this Sunday evening on France 3 Aquitaine “to maintain” for the second round.
A choice that could prove favorable to the candidacy of Inaki Echaniz, his NFP opponent, according to political scientist Jean Petaux.Jean Lassalle’s voters, we can imagine that they are closer to those of the National Rally than of the New Popular Front. So, they could at least secure votes that would not go to the RN candidate. If he withdraws, that could put Mr. Ichaniz in difficulty.“.
