Marseille, city of contrasts. On the tails, the New Popular Front came quite well in the lead, with almost 39% of the votes in total, seven points more than in 2022. A score driven by the strong participation (62.74%) and driven by the performances rebels Manuel Bompard and Sébastien Delogu, re-elected in the first round. A first in Marseille since… Dominique Tian and Guy Teissier (UMP) in 2007. This result also underlines a dynamic across the entire territory: the left placed finalists in the five other constituencies, with unequal chances of victory . Because on the other hand, the RN came out on top each time, accumulating an overall score of more than 33% at the city level, up nine points compared to the 2022 legislative elections.

With 133,654 votes, the left doubles its 2022 total

One of the lessons of this evening is therefore the collapse of the outgoing Renaissance deputies. From midnight, two of them who came third, Minister Sabrina Agresti-Roubache and Lionel Royer-Perreaut, immediately learned their lessons. Qualified in triangular form, they announced that they would withdraw in the 2nd round, applying the “national instructions” issued by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.

The RN is in a favorable position in the 3rd constituency, the only one it held until now in Marseille and in the 1st constituency.
