Severe thunderstorm watches and warnings issued by Environment Canada in the afternoon in New Brunswick were lifted mid-evening Sunday.
The weather service was monitoring conditions conducive to the formation of dangerous thunderstorms that could produce gusts, damage and large hail.
Severe thunderstorm warning watches had been issued for most of the province, and alerts for a few regions, such as Restigouche.
Tornado Warnings Lifted
Environment Canada also issued a tornado warning shortly after 4:45 p.m. on Sunday for certain regions of New Brunswick. This agency’s radar then showed a potential tornado near Renous and Gray Rapids.
The warning was lifted a short time later.
