According to the Ministry of the Interior*, in the sixth constituency of Oise (Noyon-Thourotte-Compiègne) three candidates qualified for the second round. The National Rally candidate, Michel Guiniot, is credited with 47.87% at the end of this first round. He is followed by the UDI candidate, supported by part of the LR and Renaissance, Daniel Leca who obtains 22.93% of the votes. Baptiste de Fresse de Monval obtains 20.46% of the votes cast.

The RN candidate came first in rural areas. But in the big cities, and in particular the Compiégnois, it was Daniel Leca who took the first places, notably in Compiègne, Clairoix, Choisy-au-Bac and Margny-lès-Compiègne.

Eliminated are Nathatlie Charruau (DVD) with 5.66%, followed by Guy-Eric Imbert (Reconquête) with 1.75% and Jean-Marc Iskin (LO) with 1.33%.

In the sixth constituency the participation rate stands at 66.21%

Three candidates… unless the New Popular Front withdraws

According to these results, we could therefore have three candidates on the ballot for the second round, unless there is a Republican withdrawal. Credited, for the moment, with the lowest score of the three qualifiers, Baptiste de Fresse de Monval could consider not running in the second round to avoid the outgoing RN deputy, Michel Guiniot, from making the pass by two. This Sunday evening, the leader of France Insoumise, one of the components of the New Popular Front, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, called for the withdrawal of left-wing candidates for the second round when they are qualified third in the constituencies led by the National Rally . “Not one vote, not one more seat for the RN, our instructions are clear, our instructions are simple,” he said.
