Sioban, the return with Jean Dufaux obviously and Paul Teng who is drawing his fourth album La Complainte des Landes perdus. He joined Rosinski, Delaby and Béatrice Tillier with strength and talent. Fights, betrayals, magic if possible, heroic fantasy even if we don't like the term, we kill each other to reign supreme. Sioban is the joker card in this saga that only Jean Dufaux could bring to such a climax for almost thirty years. We appreciated the very good quality of Bérangère Marquebreucq’s colors.
Sobian is there and goes to see his mother Lady O'Mara. A rebellion is in the air against the White Wolves, Sioban's family. At its head is Sobian's cousin, Aylissa, who is nevertheless a Sudenne like them. Aylissa has started to rally her troops but it's not euphoria. Machiavellian Lord Henry also doubts but speaks of dormant forces that could be awakened. He can only talk to the queen about it. Henry refers to the old legends of the island. Lady Gerfaut believed it. According to him, Alyssa should have trained the niddhog to fight alongside him. Henry tells him about the statue which dates from the Moriganes, the beloved. Everyone fears this sculpture. He researched the subject and found that Alyssa resembled him. He advises him to seize the statue, study it and find out if it can be used as a weapon. Another solution that Alyssa proposes is marriage to Sioban's brother, a child. So there will be a she-wolf in the fold.
Power struggle again and again in this family that hates each other. Lord Henry will be a gifted manipulator. Seamu will also return to the game with Lady O'Mara. Jean Dufaux is unbeatable in these subtle and conflicting settings. Everything is at stake with the statue but what? To see more closely in this episode which does not denote, sticks to the series. The drawing of Paul Teng is really up to par. We liked the cover and dived without restraint into this new episode.
