Janine Aveline, the president of the festival committee, is organizing a Christmas market like last year on December 7, 2024 in the Saint-Pavace recreation room from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year we will have forty exhibitors, it’s a record! I had to refuse people. We will have creators or artisans from with jewelry, Christmas decorations, sweet products, beer, and lots of other things explains Janine Aveline.

Exhibition of Alain Richard's models

The highlight of the market this year will be the exhibition of several models.

I will exhibit around fifteen models, all made with matches explains Alain Richard, an Angevin who arrived in Saint-Pavace at the end of the 70s.

+ During the long winter months, Jacky builds models of agricultural machines

Since he retired twelve years ago, he has started making matchstick models from plans he found on the internet or made himself. He built a mill, a train, a Ferris wheel, the White House, the Arc de Triomphe and of course the Notre-Dame-de- cathedral.

It took me 7,000 matches and hundreds of hours to make it. I devoted a year to its creation. It's great to be able to exhibit it on December 7, the day before the real one reopens! “, he comments.

I would like to be able to create an association of modelers to be able to share my passion with others and help beginners”, said Alain Richard. Notice to amateurs!
