Summoned to the Château de Blois by Henry III, the Duke of Guise falls into an ambush. After heroically crossing swords with the members of the king’s personal guard, he dies, pierced by several sword blows. End of the performance.
The spectators present at the castle applaud the actors’ performance, but Jean-Yves Bellion, the rich industrialist who played the role of Henry III, does not join his partners in greeting the audience. And for good reason, he was assassinated in full performance. Very quickly, suspicion falls on Arthur, the young interpreter of the Duke of Guise.
Present on the scene, Captain Alice Deschamps, Arthur’s ex-mother-in-law, takes charge of the investigation. To exonerate the young man, she will have to team up with her ex, Commander Denis Frécant, Arthur’s father.
But the collaboration proves difficult for two beings who loved each other and whose painful past reappears at each step of the investigation.
