RC Lens – Mercato: The club is interested in a Moroccan striker and an offer of 4 million euros has been made

In this summer transfer window, a Moroccan striker is attracting the interest of several European clubs. RC Lens is positioning itself to try to attract the player despite fierce competition.

The artesian clubchaired by Joseph Oughourlian, is considering major sales this summer in order to balance its finances. A total transfer of €100 million is said to be in the club’s plans. However, during the presentation of new coach Will Still, Pierre Dréossi, the recently appointed general manager, expressed confidence in the club’s ability to carry out ambitious transfers without necessarily selling first.

Dréossi explains: “We intend to find an economic balance different from that of the last seasons. Nevertheless, on transfers, we are ambitious… Lens is strong enough to be able to buy before selling.” He emphasizes that the club must nevertheless respect a certain balance between purchases and sales to achieve this desired financial balance.

Lensois recruiters have set their sights on Couhaib Driouech, a promising young striker who currently plays for Excelsior Rotterdam in the Netherlands. With 6 goals scored in 26 games this season, he is attracting the attention of not only RC Lens but also other big names in European football.

Excelsior Rotterdam sets the price of its talented player at 4 million euros. While RC Lens prepares its offer, PSV Eindhoven and Sporting Portugal have already taken action with concrete proposals for Driouech. In addition, Sevilla FC and Feyenoord are closely monitoring the situation of the Atlas Lion.

The battle to secure the services of Couhaib Driouech therefore promises to be intense between these suitors who are determined to strengthen their squad with this young Moroccan talent whose popularity continues to rise on the European transfer market.
