Following a bloody war of succession, Abraha Pokou had to flee with his supporters from the kingdom of Ashanti (present-day Ghana). After a journey of five years, nearly 1,500 kilometers traveled on foot in forests and across rivers, the Baoulés put an end to their exodus by founding the current village of Bouaké, cradle of the Ivorian nation. Strategist and authoritarian, Abraha Pokou faces all dangers, crushing with his intelligence those who challenge his authority. She will make all sacrifices, including that of her own child, for the survival of her people. A witch and magician, she is suspected of calling on spirits to achieve her ends.
