The Tarn Info Facebook group created in September 2014 by a couple from Tarn who were looking for “how to spend their weekends and find ideas for outings” is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has exceeded 100,000 members. A birthday party is organized on Saturday November 23 in Carmaux.
Marcel Ludwig, at the origin of the Facebook group Tarn info, still can't believe it. “The group is now growing at a very rapid rate with 200 to 300 additional members every week. » the 100,000 member mark was exceeded at the end of the summer. But what can we find on Tarn info? Lots of things: ideas for outings but also many questions asked by members for everyday life. “Where to find a dentist in Carmaux? “, “What to do this weekend with my children around Albi? » but also interactions between members with photos or local information, job offers and searches… The administrators also created at the beginning of 2024, an association which brings together partners. They participate, via a contribution, in supporting associative projects in the region. Calls for projects are carried out and the Tarn info association then decides on the project(s) which will be encouraged by a financial donation.
A festive evening, Saturday November 23 in Carmaux
To celebrate these two milestones (10 years and 100,000 members), the creators and administrators of Tarn Info decided to organize a festive and musical evening. It will take place on Saturday November 23, with Radio Menergy and an “80's” theme.
“It’s a theme that brings people together well and it also represents the Tarn Info community. The evening will take place at the Beregovoy hall in Carmaux: we will have a refreshment bar, there will be a raffle and a sweet food truck. This birthday party is a bit of an unknown” admits Marcel Ludwig. We don't know how many people we will attract but it is possible to book online for those who wish. And for those who regret that the evening takes place in the north of the department, sometimes far from home, don’t panic: “ we will undoubtedly have other evenings in the future depending on the results of this one! “.
