The snowy episode continues until the night of Thursday to Friday November 22 in Nièvre, where 2 to 3 cm of snow are expected.

After this episode, a widespread refreeze is expected at the end of the night, announces the Nièvre prefecture. The orange “snow and ice” vigilance is extended until Friday midday.

The prefecture banned the circulation of vehicles dedicated to school transport on the entire Nièvre road network on the morning of Friday, November 22.

For its part, the Nièvre Departmental Council indicates: “School transport will be suspended all day on Friday November 22, 2024.”

As this Thursday, November 21, the circulation of vehicles or combinations of road vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 7.5 tonnes is prohibited until 12 p.m. this Friday, November 22.

The Nièvre prefecture invites the population to avoid non-essential travel during this period and to follow the recommendations of the security services. For those who must travel, it is advisable to remain vigilant, slow down and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.
