The winger from Agen and the French Sevens team has signed up with the Catalan club for four years.
He shone at the beginning of June at the Madrid 7s Tournament. And could well be part of the Olympic adventure this summer. The winger from Agen (eleven Pro D2 matches since 2021) Jefferson-Lee Joseph (1.92 m for 88 kg), but especially from the French 7s team, has signed up with USAP for the next four years. Originally from Guadeloupe, he discovered rugby at a very young age when he arrived in Agen.
Having moved into the youth categories of the SUA, he was international at the U18 level, then at the U20 level. He is part of the promising generation who was unable to play the U20 World Cup (cancelled from 2020 to 2022) due to Covid 19. But his qualities of speed and finishing made him, like the other winger of France 7, the Catalan Théo Forner, who will be his teammate in the blood and gold colors next year, caught the eye of the staff of the France 7 team, which is aiming for the Olympic title in Paris this summer.

Very efficient with the 7
Detached 100% with the French 7 team during the past season, he did not have the right to play in Pro D2 with Agen (like Théo Forner at USAP). However, Jefferson-Lee Joseph had a very good season, and established himself as a member of the Blues at 7 with 39 matches, for 75 points scored (15 tries). He is also very regular since in two seasons, he played 74 matches, for 150 points scored (30 tries).
It now remains to properly manage the transition to the XV in the Top 14, which he will discover next season in Perpignan after having, he hopes, won the Olympic title on July 27 in Paris.
