The snow doesn't stop falling in Essonne. In fact, the department was placed on orange alert snow and ice by Météo France this Thursday, November 21, 2024. An alert which now extends until at least 2 p.m. tomorrow with a drop in temperatures overnight and the arrival of a new snowy episode in the morning.
No accidents have yet been reported
Due to these weather conditions, the Essonne prefecture has decided to suspend all school transport in the department.
Please note that on all roads in the department, the speed limit is lowered by 20 km/h since 11 a.m. this Thursday. In addition, heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes are not allowed to overtake.
So far, no accidents has not been reported in the department. It is advisable to avoid driving when possible.
