Thanks to financial donations from the traders of Saint-Benoît-du-Sault, the badminton club, under the name Saint-Be-Bad, was able to resume its activity in good conditions. It goes without saying that the president of the club, Alexandra Couret, thanks these traders who helped collect €1,500.
“Our badminton club has had a lot of difficulties in recent years to the point of closing down last year, but a new team has taken up the challenge by seeking financial assistance, particularly from our traders in Saint-Benoît and various towns, who have all opened their doors to us.”indicated Alexandra Couret, without forgetting the intercommunal union of the college, which financed new posts and nets.
The challenge was therefore met with a year full of new badistas. Forty-nine licensees, young people and adults, are part of the club. They are coached by Valentin and Anthony, coach of the Argenton-sur-Creuse club.
Thanks to an idea at the beginning of the year, the coaches visited the schools of Saint-Benoît and neighboring towns and a good number of young people joined the club based in the Gilbert-Brisset gymnasium, located between the college and the football field.
Note that before leaving on vacation, the young badminton players from the Saint-Benoît-du-Sault club were presented with diplomas and rewards, including shuttlecock key rings, made by the club’s volunteers.
