European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities
The employment of workers with disabilities is a priority policy of the Government. In Cantal, workers with disabilities seeking employment, and therefore beneficiaries of the employment obligation, represent 816 people, or 11.2% of all people registered with France Travail in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
Created in 1997 by LADAPT, the week for the employment of people with disabilities evolved in 2015 into “European week for the employment of people with disabilities” (SEEPH).
Its objectives are to:
- raise awareness among as many people as possible about the issues surrounding the employment of people with disabilities,
- encourage those in the professional world to create a more inclusive and accessible working environment,
- strengthen equal opportunities and strengthen inclusion.
It has become an essential meeting place for job seekers with disabilities, recruiters and business leaders. The SEEPH is an opportunity to question the various measures put in place to facilitate the professional integration of people with disabilities. This event has also become an annual reference time to allow companies to evaluate their disability strategy.
