From Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 November 2024, volunteers from the Red Cross of Condé-en-Normandie () will solicit donations in local supermarkets to help around a hundred families in need.

After their pop-up store, this new action to fight hunger calls for solidarity from all.

A collection to support families

The Red Cross begins its collection for the Food Bank this Thursday. Volunteers will be present all day from Thursday to Saturday, as well as Sunday morning, in stores Super U, Aldi et Ladybug.

Thank you to the people who will donate because we really need it.

Yveline Lenepveu, president of the Condé Red Cross.

Currently, the Red Cross is helping around 100 families, with two to three new families arriving every week.

Last year, nearly two tonnes of food were recovered thanks to the generosity of donors.

Long-life products

The products accepted are shelf-stable foodstuffs. These donations will make it possible to strengthen Red Cross stocks.

“We collect for the Food Bank, but it remains in the stocks of the Red Cross,” specifies the president.

Around thirty volunteers will be mobilized for this operation.
