The A12 motorway is completely closed to traffic in both directions following an accident. It is the official announcement portal of the Confederation Alertswiss which indicates it. One person was slightly injured.

The accident, which took place at the bottom of the section, in the downward direction, involved between seven to eight vehicles, a spokesperson for the Vaud cantonal police told Keystone-ATS.

Traffic is severely disrupted in the area concerned, particularly due to rescue and repair operations. “We can hope to see an opening for a return to normal around 11 p.m.-midnight,” adds the spokesperson.
