Ce Thursday November 21it is a particularly turbulent weather, with rain and wind, which is announced on the Vendéebecause of the passage of the Caetano depression.

According to Climat-Vendée, the first hours of the day could be marked by heavy precipitation“with expected accumulations of around 10 to 20 millimeters, or even 30 millimeters in certain areas,” announces the Vendée site.

Heavy rain

Cet rainy episode should focus especially in the morning. “The rains will quickly subside, giving way to a warmer afternoon, with clearings that could brighten up the sky,” notes Climat-Vendée.

This depression could also bring some snowflakes, “without consequences”, assures Climat-Vendée

Strong winds

Where it will be necessary to rise more vigilantit is at the level of vent who will be more and more intense as the morning progresses. Peaks between 50 and 60 km/h at the start of the day could rise up to 130 km/h in the afternoon.

The coast will be most impacted with the strongest gusts around Noirmoutier. The rest of the coastline will not be spared with peaks estimated at up to 120 km/h. Inland, speeds drop, but remain intense, between 90 and 100 km/h.

Be careful on the roads

At the end of the day, the wind should decrease in intensity. Climat-Vendée therefore calls for caution: “these strong gusts of wind could cause branches, trees and electrical cables to fall. Be vigilant on our roads. And don’t forget to put away your garden furniture.”

Mild temperatures falling

In terms of temperatures, after a cool start to the day, with temperatures around 3 to 5°C, a rapid rise in temperatures is expected in the morning, reaching 13 to 15°C with the change in wind. However, this increase will be short-lived, because in the second part of the afternoon, the mercury will fall quickly again, approaching zero degrees in the evening. Frosts could then occur, making the roads potentially slippery during the following night. Caution therefore remains in order.
