Speaker on a panel entitled “Towards new heights: the African economy of tomorrow”Ms. Fettah insisted on the importance of adopting a long-term vision to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth in Africa, while staying the course in the face of crises and turbulence.
The minister identified three fundamental pillars to achieve these objectives: the construction of solid States, which guarantee the population access to education, health and social protection; establishing a diversified economy, harmoniously balancing the roles of the public and private sectors; and maintaining macroeconomic balances, through rigorous management of public finances.
She also discussed the Moroccan trajectory in terms of institutional reforms, which have made it possible to increase internal resources while maintaining competitive taxation.
Ms. Fettah highlighted the progress made by Morocco in mobilizing internal resources, specifying that institutional reforms have made it possible to increase public revenue by nearly 15% on average over the last few years, while reducing the tax rate.
She also underlined the central role of public investments in this dynamic. In 2024, the Moroccan public sector has committed nearly 34 billion euros to various infrastructure projects and public establishments. This investment effort, according to Ms. Fettah, is not limited to large companies: it also promotes the emergence of national champions, supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and encourages public-private partnerships, thus guaranteeing a positive impact. across the entire economy.

In a statement to the press, Nadia Fettah reaffirmed the solidity of the economic partnership between Morocco and France, which was recently strengthened following the official visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco.
She expressed satisfaction with the current state of this cooperation, while highlighting the growing ambitions of both nations for the future. She also recalled that Morocco, as a major player in investment in Africa, plays a strategic role in the intercontinental vision carried by His Majesty the King, aimed at strengthening economic ties between Europe and the African continent. .

At the opening of the Forum, Sophie Primas, Minister Delegate to the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of Foreign Trade and French people abroad, highlighted the potential of Africa as an engine of growth. worldwide. She highlighted the demographic dynamics of the continent, its wealth of natural resources and the dynamism of its businesses.
Ms. Primas insisted on the importance of strengthening economic ties between France and Africa, in particular by integrating civil society, youth, and entrepreneurs from both shores of the Mediterranean. She also recalled the historical importance of relations between France and Africa, evoking the African diaspora, which constitutes an essential bridge between the two regions.
Didier Boulogne, deputy general manager in charge of exports at Business France, also took the floor to highlight the potential for innovation and the opportunities offered by the African continent.
