1ᵉʳ act before a possible major renewable strike in the run-up to the Christmas holidays, the SNCF unions called for a blockade throughout the territory on Thursday November 21, 2024. Hauts-de-France will not be spared. “2 out of 3 TER trains will run throughout the region” communicated the territorial relations and communications department of TER Hauts-de-France.

The railway company advises travelers in the region to “check the circulation of their train on the TER Hauts-de-France site, SNCF Connect or any other mobility application before going to the station. Train timetables will be available the day before from 5:00 p.m.
For travelers on the TGV Inoui and Ouigo trains, the SNCF announced that “traffic will be almost normal” throughout France. But predictions are less optimistic for regional trains, only 7 out of 10 should run throughout France.
The four SNCF unions – CGT-Cheminots, Unsa-Ferroviaire, Sud-Rail and CFDT-Cheminots – have called a strike to denounce the dismantling of Fret SNCF, the leading company in France for the transport of goods by rail. The company should disappear on January 1 to be replaced by Hexafret for freight transport and Technis for locomotive maintenance.
François Durovray, Minister for Transport, said Tuesday, November 19 in the morning that it was “enoughdoubtful about this social movement, especially since there are no other possible hypotheses” than dismantling.
