The case dates back to August 26, 2024, in the evening. Three young people from Saint-Lô (Manche), including a minor, came by car to Périers for a drug transaction. A fight then broke out with two other men, near the greenway, and continued in other places in the city, creating a certain stir among local residents.
Arrested during a GIGN intervention
In the scuffles involving five people, a Prisiais, aged 22, received a stab in the side. As the liver had not been damaged, his vital prognosis was not in jeopardy. Results: 15 days of temporary total incapacity for work (ITT). The three attackers fled. They surrendered to the police on October 9, in Saint-Lô, after an arrest system which had mobilized around forty gendarmes, with the support of the GIGN (National Gendarmerie Intervention Group) of Nantes, in the hospital district.
The two adults, aged 19, appeared on October 14, before the Coutances criminal court, to answer for aggravated violence in a meeting. They had asked for time to prepare their defense. The judges postponed their judgment until Monday, November 18, placing them in pre-trial detention in two separate remand centers. It was therefore under prison escort that they answered for their actions.

The court sentenced Magamed Magamadov, convicted of violence with a knife, to three years in prison, including thirty months. Zahir Shinwari, found guilty of violence, was sentenced to two years in prison, including 18 months and the revocation of six months of suspended sentence, for a total of two years in prison.
They are also subject to a two-year probationary suspension, with a ban on contact and appearing in Périers. According to the public prosecutor's orders, they were kept in detention following the hearing.
