“It went well. The court was understanding. I think things will work out. » The feeling was rather one of relief for the Lot-et-Garonnais entrepreneur Lucien Georgelin, leaving the Agen commercial court, this Tuesday, November 19.
After having validated the financial recovery plan of the Virazeil company of the famous jam maker last month, the Agen commercial court was to examine this time the plan of the Villeneuve-sur-Lot company, Lucien Georgelin Céréales , a subsidiary of the group, also in receivership.
“The administrators, the agents, the company, the employees, the commissioner judges as well as the public prosecutor and the creditors, everyone expressed a favorable opinion on the adoption of the plan”, underlines Me Christophe Dejean, Lucien Georgelin's lawyer.
The liability of 7 million euros was reduced to approximately 2.5 million euros. The repayment of creditors was spread over ten years.

Villeneuve's 15 employees approved the merger during an extraordinary CSE. But they are opposed to moving their work tools. “We don’t know what they want to do with us. We hope that there will be an economic layoff,” indicates Serge Yakan, staff representative at the Villeneuve site.
