Véronique Bugeaud becomes the general director of the Orchester philharmonique du Québec (OPQ). Ms. Bugeaud has notably worked over the last seven years with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra as head of development. She is recognized for her expertise in business development and partnerships.

Making classical music accessible is for her “the driving force” of her professional actions.
During her time at the OSM, Ms. Bugeaud “substantially increased sponsorship revenues and actively participated in the institution’s outreach strategy,” underlines the OPQ.

Remember that the former general director, Jean-Marc Léveillé left his position at the beginning of June. He said he rushed his departure, planned for July, because of the “environment” within the OPQ.
In an interview, he mentioned differences of point of view with Mr. Da Costa, “on contractual compliance, on respecting deadlines,” he testified. When deadlines are not met, there are significant consequences and financial impacts. And it’s the CEO who is responsible.”
