Toronto police on Wednesday released the name of the man who died the day before after being stabbed at the Jane subway station in the northwest of the city.
This is Torontonian Matthew Rumble, who was 39 years old.
Police said the suspect and the victim got into an argument on a municipal bus, got out of the vehicle at the subway station, fought and the victim was stabbed.
The suspect fled on foot, accompanied by a woman. Police say he is black, thin and between 5’9” and 5’11” (between 1.75m and 1.80m) tall. The woman who was with him is also thin. She is white and blonde.
This is the 43rd murder in Toronto since the start of the year.
