Paris will always be Paris and, even in the year of the Olympic Games, summer, if it wants to settle down permanently one day, will be, as always, the season of terraces, where places will be expensive. With, traditionally, its share of new addresses, emerging randomly from a sidewalk, around a museum or on a charming square.

Other places already existed, but have reinvented their instructions and therefore deserve to visit again. Between palace tables, tavern with royal decor or even panoramic rooftop, here is our selection.

The most “fashion victim”

Who says new season, inevitably means a new face and new chef at Petites Mains, the restaurant at the Palais Galliera, which houses the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris. After the Frenchman Geoffrey Lengagne last year, it’s time for the Australian Jared Philipps, an adventurous chef who has visibly brought back inspiration from his travels (beef tartare with mole sauce; lean roast, Paimpol coconut puree, candied zucchini, XO sauce …). As usual at this residence, the sweet part and the cocktails are an integral part of the experience and the whole thing can be enjoyed in the gardens or under the arcades of the unique building.
