Nine in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud

On Wednesday morning, France Galop validated the packages for Sunday’s meeting in Saint-Cloud, with the highlight being the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (Gr1) and the Prix Eugène Adam (Gr2).

There are still nine in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, Gr1 which must face competition from the Prince of Wales’s Stakes (Gr1) and even the Hardwicke Stakes (Gr2), both scheduled for the Royal Ascot meeting. Unsurprisingly, the horses that ran at the royal meeting have disappeared from the list. We also note the absence of White Birch (Ulysses), winner of the Tattersalls Gold Cup (Gr1), who skipped Ascot after poor analyses, Luxembourg (Camelot), winner of the Coronation Cup (Gr1) at the beginning of June at Epsom and who should be headed to the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr1) at the end of July, or even French Junko (Intello), winner of the Grand Prix de Chantilly (Gr2) and finally retired. Wertheimer & Frère colors, however, still rely on Thought of the day (Camelot), winner of the Prix Corrida (Gr2).
