As the Restos du Cœur winter campaign begins this Tuesday, we take stock of the association's actions in Ille-et-Vilaine with its manager in the Breton department.
This Tuesday is the start of the Restos du coeur winter campaign. Last year, the association sounded the alarm because with fewer donations, it had to reduce what it gave to its beneficiaries. Fortunately the campaign which is starting looks better according to the manager of Restaurants in Ille-et-Vilaine.
Claude Sauze who explains that the Restos du Cœur have “put all the elements on their side to succeed in this new campaign. It's true that last year, we were in a difficult situation. Things have improved thanks to an outpouring of generosity from the French. A big impetus. And So here, we are starting a new campaign and we want to give new impetus to Restaurants by offering new measures.
And fortunately donations are increasing, because Claude Sauze explains that in Ille-et-Vilaine alone, “we had almost a 10% increase in attendance, therefore a strong precariousness in urban areas. We have 18,000 people in the Breton department, 2,200,000 meals served, that's 50% in Rennes Métropole, the rest is 'is on the other 17 distribution centers.
The manager of Restaurants in Ille-et-Vilaine explains that as at the national level, priority is given this winter to single-parent families and children under 3 years old.
The association which is always looking for volunteers, even for a few hours per week or for one-off actions.
