A person in custody. Ari Boulogne, who claimed to be son of Alain Delon, found dead

The lifeless body of Ari Boulogne, who claimed to be the son of the famous French actor Alain Delon, was found on Saturday in his apartment. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the information from the daily Le Parisien. A woman was taken into custody for failing to assist a person in danger.

The newspaper Le Parisien claims that the person in police custody “would be his companion”. The investigation aims in particular to “clarify the circumstances in which the death of the victim, who was hemiplegic”, may have occurred, according to the prosecution. The body was found at the home of the deceased, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

Ari Boulogne, 60 and born in the summer of 1962, was the son of German supermodel, singer and actress Nico, Velvet Underground icon, and claimed to be the son of Alain Delon, which the latter always had denied.

As a child, however, Ari was raised by Alain Delon’s own mother, Edith Boulogne, whose name he bears.

Disputed paternity

In recent years, Ari Boulogne had made a request for recognition of paternity from the French courts, which had dismissed him on appeal in September 2021 because of the place of residence of Alain Delon, located in Switzerland.

“The current cassation procedure will stop and the file will be closed. Alain Delon had consistently challenged this paternity,” the film star’s lawyer, Me Christophe Ayela, told AFP.
