Specialists from the () mine clearance intervention group intervened this Thursday afternoon in Osny (Val-d'Oise) to neutralize an explosive device. It was a 220 kg bomb used by the American army during the Second World War, details BFM Ile-de-. The operation was carried out successfully, announced the department prefecture on its Facebook page.

The shell was rendered harmless and was removed from the private land where it was discovered before being transported to a secure site. It will be destroyed there. The prefect went to the site to assist in the mine clearance. In addition to the deminers, the national police, the gendarmerie, the municipal police of Osny and the Val-d'Oise firefighters were called upon. Disarming the bomb required the establishment of a security perimeter of 270 m around the device.
