In Scaër, the first screening of the documentary film month took place on Sunday November 3, 2024, in the afternoon with, to open the ball, “Queens in Finistère”. “Director Vanessa Le Reste presented her first documentary (she is usually familiar with fiction). She answered questions from the public who thanked her for this film which makes you smile and helps to better understand the world of drag queens,” said Delphine Sinquin, manager of the media library.

The participation of Phoenix

This documentary was produced as part of a 3 call for tenders, entitled “Finie la bamboche”, which questions our relationship to celebration at the end of confinement. A representative of the Phénix association (LGBTQIA +) explained the support put in place for everyone in the film.

More than thirty people took part in this screening, then in the snack offered by the Lire à Scaër association, a partner in the snack, which also participates in the choice of documentary films by attending the pre-selection screenings.

Practical

The next Doc Month documentary film, entitled “C’est comme ça”, by Sarah Bellanger, will be screened at the Espace Youenn-Gwernig, Friday November 15, 2024, at 8:30 p.m. The filmmaker reconstructs erased history of the working world through the story of his grandmother, Marie-Jo.
