Yvelines will plunge into winter this week from November 18 to 24, 2024. Cold and maybe even snow. And the wind.
Météo France has placed the department on yellow alert from Tuesday, November 19, between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. From the morning, gusts are expected across the entire department, estimated between 60 and 70 km/h. In the afternoon, they should reach 95 km/h in certain areas, such as Versailles, Élancourt or Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines. On the Mantes-la-Jolie side, the wind should tack between 85 and 90 km/h. The lull should only occur during the night.
In terms of temperatures, this same day of Tuesday is expected to sail between 10 and 11°C to reach a maximum of 3 to 4°C overnight.
The cold is for Thursday
On Wednesday November 20, the sky will be relatively clear but the thermometer will not rise above 7°C. The next morning, Thursday, waking up will be fresh with 0 °C in Élancourt, 1°C in Versailles and Rambouillet. Météo France announces a few snowflakes in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines. A few should fall on the southern half in the afternoon. The night is forecast to be clear with temperatures between 0°C and 2°C.
Friday, November 22, a few snowflakes could swirl in the sky, near Rambouillet, Houdan and Montfort l'Amaury. There rain will follow in the evening with the mercury climbing painfully to 3°C.
A slight mild spell is forecast for Saturday, November 23, in the evening with an average of 10°C and rain. Sunday will be in this same dynamic.
