As with every election in Rognac, the suspense took a long time to resolve. So, to put an end to the “tradition” which wants Rognac to be the last town in Bouches-du-Rhône to announce its results, the National Rally took everyone by surprise by revealing the results of the vote, which were still kept secret by the outgoing mayor.
With 33% of the votes won, RNist candidate Christophe Gonzalez comes well ahead of these early municipal elections. He is followed by Willy Nicollet (Rognac Otherwise), who obtains 28.5% of the votes. Outgoing mayor Sylvie Miceli-Houdais is third with 17% of the vote, closely followed by Maël Valat-Viaux (14% of the vote).
Potentially, the four candidates are able to survive in the second round next Sunday, since they have all exceeded the 10% of votes mark. In such a configuration, the National Rally, whose candidate said “extremely happy“from this first position this evening, would find itself reinforced. An analysis which did not escape Franck Allisio, boss of the RN deputies of the region: “In an election, without an unnatural alliance, the candidate who comes in first in the first round is also in the second round.” he told Provence.
The final participation rate for this first round is 51.20%. It was 47.15% in 2020.
