Pau-Orléans (68-78): painful relapse at the Palace
After its victory in Blois and that against Strasbourg in Pau, in the Coupe de France, we expected much better from Élan Béarnais. Sadly, the team was only a shadow of its former self. There was no photo, because the domination of the co-leader was so clear, in almost all sectors. From the first quarter, the visitors took control (13-18) before driving the point home until the break (29-42). The bill could have been much higher if Orléans had not relaxed.
The Palois are stuck in 12th place in the standings with 6 victories for 7 defeats, including 4 at the Palais des sports. Mickaël Hay did not hide his disappointment after this new disappointment and the lack of reaction from the group.
The markers: Ledlum (18), Pinault and Sidibe (12), Whyte (8), Missonnier (6), Sherill (5), Marsillon-Noléo (4), Raharimanantoanina (3).
After a break, the Béarnais will travel to Gries-Souffel (November 29), before receiving Hyères-Toulon (December 6) then Évreux (December 13). A trip to Poitiers (December 20) and the reception of Boulazac (December 27) will follow.
