Shakespeare, this eternal author, questions us: What can we still do when we are madly in love?

Student members of adult workshop groups have the pleasure of presenting their work to you over a cycle of three evenings on various skits from the plays of William Shakespeare.

Friday June 28, 2024 at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday June 29, 2024 at 8:30 p.m.

Sunday June 30, 2024 at 3 p.m.

Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, the Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Instigating Witches remind us that magic is in all things for those who want to see it. It is through the cult scenes of these great classics that Cabaret Shakespeare attempts to offer you the beginnings of an answer. 25 actors on stage, every evening, perform the best of this eternal author.

Note from director Giancarlo Ciarapica: “Shakespeare questions us: are fools wiser than they seem and aren’t the so-called wise people the craziest ones who want to manage the world? Power makes -is it crazy or must you be crazy to desire power? Can we still love when we are crazy about power? And what can we still do when we are crazy about love?

The characters in the sketches are interpreted by: Sandra Saint Aimé, Élisabeth Lacour, Aïgerim Sembayeva, Sylvie Almon, Imen Zghal, Dominique Bourret, Nathalie Marchetti, Antoine Vazquez, Coryse Puisset, Christophe Châtellard, Ludovic Brunon, Catherine Vincens, Célio Cabanis, Patricia Bandres , Céline Sarraquigne, Marion Gélis, Vincent Rozé, Noémi Lodygensky, Vanessa Darras, Caroline Bonême, Marc Maurel, Céline Durieu. A weekend of theater not to be missed!
