His little goat was killed while he was in a pasture in Châtenois-les-Forges. Accident ? Deliberate shooting? Shocked, the owner will file a complaint. The emotion, and even the anger, can be seen on the face of Victor Guidolin after the macabre discovery made this Saturday, November 16. The remains of the animal were floating on the surface of a small pond.
Away from the village
Apart from his job as a truck driver, Victor Guidolin is passionate about nature and animals. Away from the village, he finds peace in the middle of a two-hectare pasture, surrounded by “his babies”: two horses, three goats and a donkey.
“A projectile at the level of his neck”
“On Saturday, I found the two goats scared and the goat didn't show himself,” says Victor before continuing: “I found him in the pond and at first I thought it had fallen from the top of the embankment because one of its horns was broken but I quickly noticed the entry and exit holes left by a projectile at the level of its neck, probably a small caliber bullet. I lean towards intentional shooting by an individual who deliberately entered the property.”

The country guard service has come and an investigation will be carried out by the gendarmerie. The most painful moment remains for Victor with the announcement to Diego, his five-year-old son, that Tchikito will no longer come to nibble the piece of dry bread in his little hand.
