From June 26 to July 20, Puteaux celebrates the 90e anniversary of the Town Hall. For the occasion, an exhibition awaits all Puteolians in the Salons d’Honneur of the Town Hall!

On June 24, the Puteaux Town Hall is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Inaugurated on June 24, 1934, this emblematic building has since been the heart of the city, as well as a unifying place for all Puteolians.

On this occasion, many festivities will be offered to properly blow off this 90e bougie !

Exhibition “90 years of the Town Hall”

An exceptional birthday, an exceptional exhibition! A historical and artistic retrospective awaits you for almost a month in the Salons d’Honneur of the Town Hall. On this occasion you will be told the story of this architectural gem in the light of local, national and international history, but also culture and customs: arts, design, fashion, cinema and music. This great history, popular culture and the objects presented during this unique exhibition have accompanied the lives of generations of Puteolians. The fascinating history of the Town Hall will be counted down by decade with multiple surprises waiting for you!

From June 26 to July 20 in the Salons d’Honneur

Tuesday and Friday: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. / Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (exceptional closing on July 14)

Two guided tours of the exhibition for the general public will be offered by the Archives service: June 27 at 7:30 p.m. and July 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Online exhibition “In the footsteps of the Niermans brothers”

Exhibition summarizing the emblematic buildings of Puteaux created by the two architects: Marius Jacotot school, Town Hall, hospital, swimming pool, etc.

Cinema meeting “Puteaux Town Hall on screen”

For the 90th anniversary of the Town Hall, an overview of the films that were shot within this building will be discussed. The opportunity to return to works such as OSS 117: Cairo, nest of spies, Winter 54 and some today little-known serials like Les Demoiselles de Suresnes. A quiz will also be offered.

The Guinguette of Puteaux

Make way for the new edition of the Guinguette, which will transport you into a “Gatsby” atmosphere (from the 1920s to the present day). Many activities will be offered to you: dancing ball of the Roaring Twenties, Loto d’antan, fashion parade, show covering the decades from 1930 to the present day through the history of Puteaux, period characters wandering around, competition of the most beautiful costumes by decade or even a special 90th anniversary quiz.

Other activities are planned: fair stands, strength games, fairground circus caravans, little sailors pool, “Around the world in a balloon” ride, etc. Without forgetting the exhibition of vintage cars, proposed by the ASAP association.

Free entry on presentation of the Puteaux Pass card. Without a card: €2 children and €5 adults.

The media libraries offer reading sessions linked to the iconic figures of children’s literature from the last century. Meet Martine and her many friends!

Concert of Belle Hélène

Find the Unikanti Choir (Maîtrise des Hauts-de-Seine) directed by Gaël Darchen, in Offenbach’s Belle Hélène.

A drawing competition like no other

To celebrate this anniversary, the Municipality organized a competition for the most beautiful drawing.

Young and old were invited to draw their Town Hall in A4 format and submit them to the communications department. before June 21.

And for anyone who felt like a poet, they could send a short text describing the City’s emblematic building.

The productions will be displayed on the occasion of the exhibition on the 90th anniversary of the Town Hall in the Salons d’Honneur, from June 26 to July 20.
