Based in Brest, the deeptech OSO-AI created the Augmented Ear of Caregivers which is experiencing strong development. To support this growth, the company has just appointed Thomas Godard to the position of director of development and partnerships.

This is a recruitment with high stakes and potential. Thomas Godard left the general management of MBV / Adhévie Union, a company with 2,200 employees which brings together 48 establishments and services dedicated to welcoming the elderly, to join the Brest-based startup OSO-AI.

The innovation developed by the deeptech company OSO-AI caught his attention and interest, leading him to join the company as director of development and partnerships. “ I am very happy to join the OSO-AI team to contribute to the development of Augmented Hearing for Caregivers. It is a particularly innovative technology which supports caregivers with rare efficiency in carrying out their missions. The medical-social sector more than ever needs easy-to-implement solutions that improve the quality of care, provide safety for residents and increase staff loyalty. I am convinced that Augmented Hearing for Caregivers can make a significant difference and am delighted to contribute to it,” declared the new appointee.

Hypergrowth in sales

Also ministerial advisor to the Secretary of State for the elderly and autonomy from 2016 to 2017, Thomas Godard was responsible for the implementation of a government roadmap for the Silver Economy and the development of policy for adapting housing to seniors.

In charge of the development of OSO-AI, the young company which has raised a total of 14 million euros in fundraising
funds to support the hypergrowth of its sales in France and set a course for the international market, plans the deployment of Augmented Ear for Caregivers in 100,000 rooms by 2026, i.e. 10% of the medico-social sector

OSO-AI was created in 2018 in Brest by four engineer friends, with extensive experience in international groups. It employs 50 highly qualified people (AI engineers and developers, data scientist, data labeller). OSO-AI received the 1st Prize for Digital Innovation 2023 during the annual days of the SFGG (French Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology).

Become the technological reference

Based on artificial intelligence, this innovative solution makes it possible to recognize noises and sounds, identify them and alert, if necessary, the staff of the establishment which is equipped of augmented hearing for caregivers. “We are convinced that our solution is a real source of safety for patients and real support for caregivers and establishments in their assistance and care missions. The arrival of Thomas Godard will allow us to install this technology as the reference for any establishment in the medico-social field”rejoices Olivier Menut, one of the founders of OSO-AI, and its operational director.
