Since France's return to Junior Eurovision in 2018, the country has never left the top 5 and has triumphed three times: with Valentina in 2020, then thanks to the double of Lissandro in 2022 and Zoé Clauzure in 2023.
Organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this competition for young people aged 9 to 14 attracts up to 40 million viewers. Unlike adult Eurovision, where Slimane placed 4th in 2024 with My loveonline voting allows viewers to support their own country.
This year, 17 countries were competing: Albania, Germany, Armenia, Cyprus, Spain, Estonia, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, North Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, San Marino and Ukraine.
