An English tourist was the victim of an alleged sexual assault in the Châtelet-Les Halles district during the Music Festival in Paris. The young woman, found in tears on Saturday morning, said she had been raped by several individuals and her cell phone stolen, we learned Le Figaro from a police source.
According to our colleagues, the young woman who went out during the Music Festival explained to the police that she had been raped by several individuals and had her cell phone stolen. It was around 7 a.m. that the English tourist was found crying in a pedestrian street in Châtelet-Les Halles, holding her panties in her hand. Alcoholic and very shocked, she was rescued by firefighters and transferred to Cochin hospital. The investigation was entrusted to the 1st judicial police district (1st DPJ).

This attack occurs in a context where rape statistics in public places in Paris remain at a high level. In 2023, the police headquarters recorded 93 rapes, compared to 92 the previous year.
