The MJC Mobi'Lot offers quality activities: lessons, salsa and bachata courses in different rooms in the Saint-Céré region, participation in Pink October… Nothing surprising on the part of this group which has been able to innovate by putting places a new concept, that of homelessness, in the field of local and social activities.
But with the temporary absence of her host/social life coordinator, Caroline, for a happy event, Audrey Ghersi, ex-president, replaces her friend for a few months.
“I have always been looking for meaning within my positions and it is important in my vision to be of real added value for the company. For several years in the same position, I wanted to challenge myself in a new job, which is where the idea of replacing Caroline took on its full meaning. ”, she said.
The office is also evolving with the replacement of Audrey Ghersi by Christelle Morin who becomes president.
MJC Mobi'Lot continues its efforts to obtain approval as a social living space from the Family Allowance Fund. In addition, the salsa, bachata, zumba and body karate activity clubs continue until the next school holidays, and “parenthood” evenings still take place once a month in Gramat. Furthermore, for the Telethon which will take place from November 29 to 30, over a period of thirty hours, MJC'Mobi'Lot will be involved in Miers.
Actions for Christmas
As the end-of-year holidays approach, the association is organizing a children's Christmas in Saint-Jean-Lagineste, in partnership with the festival committee and the municipality. A new collaboration with the Gramat library will take place on December 14 with a sale of second-hand books.
As for the “Solidarity Christmas Boxes” system supported by the MJC Mobi'Lot, it is once again extended a little further with collection points until mid-December in Bretenoux, Biars-sur-Cère, Saint-Céré, Saint-Jean-Lagineste, Miers, Alvignac, Gramat and also with the participation of several local partners. The MJC Mobi'Lot is also looking, as part of the Monalisa system, for volunteers who, after following training which will take place on December 12 and 13 in Gramat, will be able to go to the homes of elderly people, to build relationships (card games, coffee or others) and break the isolation of our elders.
