Mentioned for many years, the sanitation site of the commune of Bouchoux, started last Thursday, October 21. The work, planned to last one year, will concern the village and the Très-la-Ville area. Conducted in a environmental approachthey were launched in order to be carried out before the transfer of skills to the Haut Jura Saint-Claude community of communes.

A project consistent with the ecological approach

Led by Sylvain Dionnet, the sanitation commission piloted all actions and served asinterface with the population.

“The work consists of setting up in the municipality, a separative network rainwater, wastewater, connected to four treatment plantswith filters planted with reeds. These four collection basins are located in low points, spread across the village; using the natural slopes of the reliefthey benefit from a gravity operationwithout lifting device. », Specifies the mayor of Bouchoux, Jérôme Grenard.

“All our choices were made using a strong environmental approach, in line with our overall ecological involvement. The old rainwater network is preserved, with the aim of letting rainwater reach its natural environment, in good conditions; for the wastewater network, our choice fell on ductile iron pipes, which, in addition to their robustness, have the advantage of strong chemical resistance and perfect sealing. This rigor at all levels will, we hope, allow the Tacon to acquire the qualification of “Wild River”.

Sidec du Jura, project manager

Project manager, the joint energy, equipment and e-communication union of Jura (SIDEC), relied on and validated the feasibility study proposed by the CHLEAU firm of Sisteron .

The work was awarded to two regional companies from Aindin or Jura. Lot 1 of the networks was awarded to Somec de Saint-Rémy which works with Sntp de Montréal-la Cluse, for public works; as for batch 2 of filters plantedit was attributed to the Goyard company from Nanchez. In total, 2 km of pipe network has been created. The project, scheduled in two phases, should be completed in 2025.

Funding

The forecast amount is estimated at 1.15 million euros with €370,130 in notified state subsidies (32%), as part of the Rural Territories Grant (DETR) ; €517,741 allocated by the Water Agency (45%). The balance will be self-financing from the municipality.

For the local taxpayer, the repercussions will be through the sanitation fee, owed by tenants and owners, since it is impacted by water consumption (price per m3 of water) and through the participation in the Financing of Collective Sanitation (PFAC)payable by the owners from the date of connection: €3,300 for old houses; €6,600 for new constructions.

Preservation of the natural environment

Since the launch of the study, the municipality has been keen to guarantee a link and constant information for residents.

“Initially, we planned three planted filter stations. Through consultation, it appeared that a fourth station, not too expensive, would avoid an expensive lifting pump system, and future maintenance costs. For us as for the population, the preservation of the natural environment is at the center of concerns”

“For two years, through meetings, meetingsand information notes, we met and discussed with the inhabitants, to find solutions with them or arrangements compatible with the general interest and our environmental choices. The aim being to raise awareness and to put in place innovative and civic solutionspour preserve ecosystems », recognize the members of the sanitation commission, who continue house by house to study future separative connections.
