For Hervé Danton, general delegate of Mecanic Vallée which brings together more than 210 companies for nearly 12,000 jobs, and despite the difficulties looming for the sector, “our industry is particularly resilient”. “You just have to see how our young work-study students are already recruited by companies a few months before the end of their studies,” explains Hervé Danton. Immersion

Precisely, this Industry Week in Aveyron will also allow students to immerse themselves in the productive tool as close as possible to reality. For example, first and final year students from La Découverte high school in Decazeville will go to the Lisi Aerospace and Pattyn companies in Villefranche-de-Rouergue; 4th grade students from Fabre college in will visit the Bosch company in Onet-le-Château.

Dozens of visits will be organized during this week. The stakes are high because Aveyron “remains a more industrial department than the national and average,” recalls Dominique Costes.
