It was around 5:35 p.m. this Friday, November 15, that the firefighters were alerted to intervene in a traffic accident which had just occurred on the RN57, at the place called Le Pont Rouge, at of the commune of Vuillecin.

Transported to Besançon University Hospital
For reasons that remain to be determined, a car and a motorcycle collided. When emergency services arrived on the scene, they found that the driver of the car, a 48-year-old man, was unharmed. The motorcyclist, aged 57, was seriously injured and was quickly taken care of by SMUR Pontarlier. He was transported to the Jean-Minjoz hospital in Besançon.
Traffic disrupted
Eight firefighters from the center of Pontarlier were mobilized for this intervention. Traffic was heavily impacted at this time when traffic is already heavy.
