For several days Padirac has been hosting a new creative workshop, Sauv'Nir Animal, founded by Fanny Branet. She explains “Daughter of the manager of Padiparc, the zoological park dedicated to reptiles and located in Padirac, where I work as an animal caretaker, I had the idea of recycling the molts of our animals that we previously threw away to transform them in jewelry. I specialized in making resin jewelry.”
At Sauv'Nir Animal, each piece of jewelry is designed to capture precious memories.
Shedding but also hair or mane from a pet, flowers from a wedding, or even the hair of a loved one
Fanny works with individuals to create personalized pieces from sentimental items such as a pet's hair or mane, wedding flowers, or even a loved one's hair. These unique creations allow us to preserve a fragment of life in a durable artisanal piece of jewelry. The workshop also collaborates with zoological parks and other animal professionals to immortalize the hair, feathers and molts of their residents. “These symbolic jewels strengthen the links between visitors and the wildlife of the parks, thus offering original and authentic souvenirs,” admits the young woman.
As an artisanal micro-enterprise, Sauv'Nir Animal promotes French know-how while adopting an approach that respects conservation directives (CITES). Each piece of jewelry is a unique, handmade piece, which embodies the attachment to artisanal values and nature.

The Sauv'Nir Animal workshop welcomes by appointment for creative workshops where everyone can make their own jewelry.
