Saturday, November 16, residents of Beauchamp (Val-d'Oise) are invited to participate in a “citizen forum” to learn about and express themselves regarding the city center requalification project, known as “the triangle island”.
The requalification of this space located in the city center, of approximately 1.2 hectares, between avenues de la Gare, Georges-Clémenceau and the Chaussée Jules-César, represents
“an essential turning point for downtown Beauchamp, according to the municipality of Beauchamp. This project aims to boost the local economy and promote the existing architectural heritage while respecting the identity of Beauchamp. »
This second meeting will allow residents to discuss the development of this area close to the station.
250 housing units, 2500 m2 of shops and services
Entry to the forum is free and without prior registration. This project on which the municipality has been working since 2018 provides around 250 housing units with 2,500 m2 of shops and services at the foot of the building.
A public inquiry took place last year. According to Françoise Nordmann, mayor (SE) of Beauchamp, interviewed at the time, this project aims to “replace low-quality and very aging buildings”.
45% of social housing including housing for seniors as well as intergenerational housing
The project provides for 45% social housing including housing for seniors as well as intergenerational housing and of course apartments for ownership.
Project carried out with the Île-de-France Public Land Establishment
The project was carried out with Epfif (Public Land Establishment of Île-de-France), responsible for purchasing all of the properties. According to the mayor of Beauchamp, the real estate project will also be largely green.
“It will be a plus for everyone. Today it is a very mineralized area. Our project is focused on sustainable development. We will have biosourced buildings. We are going to replant trees, de-waterproof the soil. There will be green spaces in the heart of the block. More than currently. »
Law Sru
Through this real estate program, the City is responding to the imperative set by the Sru law which imposes 25% social housing and to the densification near stations required by the State.
In 2023, the municipality had 18.35% social housing.
The start of the work, which will first involve the demolition of the existing buildings, is expected in 2025. A project which will last at least two years.
Saturday November 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., multipurpose room (leisure reception), 2, avenue de l'Égalité.
