The youth service of Roi Morvan community (RMCom) invited Udaf (Departmental Union of Family Associations of Morbihan) on Thursday, November 14, for a time of exchange with young people following the Youth Future Preparation system, in Gourin. This welcomes young people experiencing integration difficulties residing in Central West Brittany, in a situation of rupture with traditional training systems.
The theme of the day was the discovery of online applications dedicated to budget management. The workshop was led by Marie Antoinette Le Gal and Anne Prophètte.
Control your budget with an app
“Udaf is labeled “Budget advice point”. This service, which is aimed at the population of the RMCom territory, offers to answer questions concerning money in general. We organize individual support and group activities.”
The two speakers presented how the Pilote budget application works, a free tool to help control your budget by anticipating your expenses. The two women also thought of concrete exercises through scenarios: “We present a pay slip, a home insurance contract, a car insurance contract, a mutual insurance contract, water bills , electricity, or telephony that young people must enter into the application,” they explained.
Recognize scams
Time was also devoted to investment, credit and insurance scams. Anne Prophètte and Marie Antoinette Le Gal described the most frequent scams: emails usurping the identity of professionals, high-yield passbook proposals, calls from fake financial advisors or fake agents of public authorities. “We provide the keys to information, the right reflexes to protect yourself and the steps to follow in the event of a scam.”
