After having the terrace of her house redone by a contractor from Chambly (Oise), a client finds herself wronged. According to The Parisianshe would have paid 22,000 euros for the work, but the ground crumbles and floods as soon as it rains. To make matters worse, the craftsman disappeared.
The work had been left on hold last winter, but the worker had promised to return in good weather to complete the project. A promise which no longer seems relevant since the latter moved to Portugal.
A terrace that is not straight, leaks and crumbles
According to the client, the edges of the terrace are crumbling and the waterproofing layer has not been covered. She confides that she went for it with her eyes closed when choosing this craftsman, because he was “recommended and expensive”. But the family business from Chambly (Oise) did not really respect the contract to redo the waterproofing.
Worse still, she collected 16,940 euros from him, plus 2,000 euros undeclared and 3,600 euros in guardrails which were never used. The contractor had promised to return in May 2024, so that everything was dry and waterproof. But the client is still waiting for it, even though she wanted to set up a dog boarding facility on her land. The company closed on May 31, then dissolved and finally put into amicable liquidation.
