The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (the Chamber) has 8,000 members. Its mission is to be the voice of the Montreal business community and to act for the prosperity of the metropolis. It is involved in key sectors of economic development by advocating a philosophy of action focused on commitment, credibility, proactivity, collaboration and avant-gardism. The Chamber also offers a range of specialized services to individuals and businesses of all sizes to support their growth here and internationally.

WHAT IS THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY?

Permanent full-time position

The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal is looking for a versatile person who will be responsible for planning and deploying a range of value-added activities for the experience of the members and partners of the Chamber, in person and virtually.

The Chamber’s projects require the commitment and coordination of several of its teams, partners as well as recognized companies and institutions in the business community. These projects also stand out for the multidisciplinarity they require, as well as their high visibility in the community.

Under the responsibility of the Manager, Membership and Partnerships, you will have to:

  1. Plan and deploy activities with added value for the experience of members and partners of the Chamber:

    • Act as lead event;
    • Contribute to finalizing the design and business model of events;
    • Negotiate with external suppliers (e.g. venue, caterer, audiovisual);
    • Ensure the development and implementation of marketing campaigns while respecting deadlines and budgets by series/banner in order to ensure the desired participation rates;
    • Manage the creation, writing, adaptation, revision and approval of different content and marketing tools;
    • Respect internal approval processes;
    • Coordinate the delivery of events with a field presence;
    • Manage post-event follow-ups (e.g. invoicing, balance sheet, etc.).
  2. Support the Membership and Partnerships team:
    • Contribute to the delivery of our partners’ benefits;
    • Collaborate in producing assessments relating to partnership agreements;
    • Coordinate the administrative follow-ups of management;
    • Any other related task.

IDEAL PROFILE:

  • DEC or bachelor’s degree in administration, marketing or any other training or experience deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or events;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English;
  • Ease in interpersonal relationships;
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Sense of entrepreneurship and ability to be proactive;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
  • Versatility;
  • Ability to use diplomacy;
  • Creativity;
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Promotional marketing skills, an asset;
  • Knowledge of Dynamix 365, an asset.
