The real Val-d'Oise land of cinema. Since the first feature film made in 1901 featuring Skaters on Lake Enghien, more than 1,900 films, films, television series and clips have been filmed, in part, in the department.

While between August 2022 and November 2023, this is the series Daryl Dixonderived from The Walking Deadfollowed by 30 million fans around the world, which was partly filmed in Vexin and Auvers-sur-Oise, more recently it is a production signed Tf1 who has taken up residence in Val-d'Oise.

As indicated by the Val-d'Oise Departmental Council, the leading channel in and even Europe in terms of audience has chosen the Dampon castleat Us, as the main setting for the new series Cat's Eyes, the first two episodes of which were broadcast on Monday November 11, 2024.

Eight weeks of filming

“For eight weeks, Val-d'Oise vibrated to the rhythm of this major production, and it is with pride that our territory actively supports culture and audiovisual projects. A real opportunity to highlight the landscapes and unique heritage of our department! », underlines the Val-d'Oise Departmental Council.

The castle of Dampont in Us served as a filming location notably in Count Zaroff's Evil Weekends of Michel Lemoine in 1976 as well as in The Other Dumas of Safy Nebbou in 2010.

The hit series, Joséphine, Guardian Angel, also set its cameras there in 2019 to film two episodes entitled “The Spirit of Halloween” from season 23.

More recently, the castle also welcomed the teams of the Franco-British series Marie Antoinette, broadcast in 2022 on Canal+, and the Carême series released in 2025 on AppleTV+.
