As part of this initiative, our charismatic referee will take on the role of spokesperson, highlighting the importance of keeping our public spaces clean. With his playful style, the referee will stop at nothing to remind everyone of the importance of respecting the rules of urban cleanliness.

“The “We’re all playing on the same field” campaign. Let’s keep it clean! » is much more than just a cleanliness initiative. It reflects our deep commitment to the quality of life in our borough. The cleanliness of our public spaces is essential for the well-being of everyone and for the beauty of our neighborhoods. As mayor, I am proud to launch this campaign which, with a touch of humor and conviviality, reminds us of the importance of taking care of our common environment. Together, let’s make Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce a good place to live,” declares the mayor of the borough, Ms. Gracia Kasoki Katahwa.

The “We’re all playing on the same field” campaign. Let’s keep it clean! » is based on the values of team spirit and mutual respect, while integrating a touch of humor. In addition, the use of an arbiter and the codes associated with it make it easy to reach a large part of the population.

Our referee, as funny as he is vigilant, will not hesitate to take out his whistle or even brandish a red card to signal cleanliness faults.

In parallel with this campaign, a working group dedicated to Residual Materials Management (GMR) was created in 2024 following a hackathon carried out with various internal and external partners of the district. This collaboration aims to develop innovative solutions to improve waste management operations on the ground. The first actions of the working group will be deployed this fall in the sector further north of Côte-des-Neiges. The actions aim, among other things, to raise awareness and equip building owners, managers and janitors.

Residents will be able to see our referee in the borough’s parks as well as on our commercial streets from the start of summer. His presence will also be visible on Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce social networks.
